The Hummingbird is certainly one of the most desirable of Gibson acoustics. Instantly recognised by its dreadnought body, square shoulders and the iconic Hummingbird design scratch-plate. It has remained a firm favourite of both players and collectors since the 1960's.
Boasting a classic combination of a solid mahogany body with a Sitka spruce top it offers a deep, rich and focused crystal-clear tone. Its mid-rounded profile Mahogany neck features a Rosewood fingerboard with a 12” radius and distinct mother of pearl parallelograms. The factory on-board LR Baggs VTC pickup is excellent and delivers a fantastic plugged in acoustic sound making the this Hummingbird a perfect choice for the studio or on the road.
Condition: Overall very clean and in good condition with only light signs of use. Critically it has sustained a split to body on the top bout which has been repaired. It is stable and remains purely cosmetic not affecting the tone or playability. (See additional pictures)
